Contest: Say No to Plastic | Join the World Plastic Free Day Celebration Contest

Hello my dear Steemians,
Today I wanted to write my thoughts for this interesting contest running by @abdullahw2 and if you want to learn more here is the link:
I think there should be more teaching about harm that is spread by using plastic because it is almost everywhere in our life. Usually it is more effective when we start teaching in nursery and school. Often we know that when we explain children and teach them how to dispose plastic but also not to use too many if we know that we did not need. As to adults, it should be started with industry, that means when we are in supermarkets we see many single used plastic bag, that everyone will simply grab and use for small thing but later on either throw away at home or just on the way out. That is why I would suggest that any plastic bag should not be for free. For any plastic bag a person should pay. Also, we have a lot of plastic bottles that always lie anywhere, we should have recycling machine that accept the bottle and people would received some refund for that. If people are paid for simple plastic bottles people will return them instead of throwing away.
In UK, there is no ban for using plastic bottles, plastic bag or anything made of plastic. There are many people who actively using glass bottles instead of plastic, I know that will not change much but more we do starting from ourselves it might change the world around us.
If I would be a mayor I would implement following rules:
at least once a month I would organise the cleaning area for certain district. That means people who live in district would then need to come together and clean garbage from street. In order to make it more interesting, I would organise free lunch for people who would take part in such activities.
All the supermarkets will have the order to have a machine to receive the used bottle, so then the drinks in bottle will be charged for refund but when they return bottle then they receive hteir money back.
I would make a rule to use clothes made bags instead of plastic and also paper single bags instead of plastic.
More garbage bins around and regular empty them, so that they are not overfilled.
I am inviting following users for contest: @rumanaafroz, @monz122, @uzma4882
