This might not mean a lot, but it’s a moment I’d like to document and share with you as I keep learning.

Hello, everyone. Trust we're doing just great today. Since I made a promise to come back after my presentation to share with us how it went, here am I doing just that.

Yesterday, I had mentioned I’d share with us the aftermath of my presentation in school in #HotNewsCommunity. This is because I was unable to defend on the first day and was rescheduled to make my presentation the second day.

I realised right there and then that growth never feels comfortable. You just have to adapt and stay with it.

The panel I was to present before was made up of thorough and intentional lecturers. Since I have always loved anything marketing, advertising, and sales I focused on the topic: “Social Media Advertising and Students’ Spending Habits.”

Just so we understand this a bit better, marketing, advertising, and sales are inter-related, but not the same. While advertising is a subset of marketing, they serve almost the same function.

Marketing is broad. It is a strategic process of understanding customer needs.Advertising is a sub-set of marketing and focuses mainly on creating awareness about a product or service.Sales is a direct process of selling to your customers by enlightening them on the benefits of the various products product.

But while I presented on my topic, it seemed as if my work was given to me by my panellists. I had anticipated questions to arise, but not as much as I had heard. I was the owner of the work, but that was only because I worked on it and presented it to them.

That moment only communicated one strong message to me: *_the power of expertise._*

The intelligence of someone who has worked in a particular field for so many years cannot be compared to someone who had only started out in a couple of months or years.

These lecturers had seen something similar and complex, and hey knew how well to tackle every point made from any angle. It only showed the evidence of their professionalism and expertise in the field.

At a point, I was the one listening to them present to me what corrections I needed to make and the areas I needed to improve on.

Truly, I was amazed. I loved it, and I learned from it.
I was made to believe that growth is uncomfortable. But that is the only way to grow. To become better. To be the person you’d like to follow and learn from tomorrow. It might be slow, but it’ll pay off.

Right now, I have a few days to breathe before I begin another one.

Thanks for reading through.
