One of the realities is that we can observe more in my country called Venezuela, it is one of the vices of alcoholism, is a set of symptoms that present individuals as consequences of prolonged and excessive consumption of alcohol. In particular, the consumption of alcoholism is mainly defined as an illness or as many know it ´´Un vicio¨ in which the victim has lost control over drinking, causing such a personality disorder that his behavior interferes with his family, social and work relationships.

As my grandmother told me, the myth that alcoholism is a permanently drunk, dirty and careless character is too simple a theatrical stereotype. Many of them work, maintain homes and project an image of apparent normality, until one day any sudden illness kills them. The causes of this alcohol vice generally point in one direction, the progressive degeneration that causes multiple functional alterations due to the repeated and excessive setting of alcohol.

Damage caused in my country by the vice of alcohol:

As many of us have noted before, scientific evidence confirms that the damage to the organism is as serious as that suffered by the psyche of the alcoholic. In addition to altering the function of brain cells, it causes damage to nerves, shrinks the cerebral cortex and wreaks such havoc on the hormonal system that, in the opinion of some doctors, induces the body to suspend the normal production of natural stimulants.

Needless to say, in the pregnant woman the effects are potentialized given her status as a mother. Through consumption, it transmits its harmful effects to the child, causing serious health deficiencies, often irreversible.

And one of the small talk that I had with my grandmother was that before the certainty that it is one of the most serious health problems of our time, the scientific teams are working to identify the causes of this disease that affects millions of men and women all over the world, without different of any nature.

One of the causes that favors the addition to liquor is multiple and is deeply immersed in the complex needs and insecurities of the individual. There are even experts who maintain that while it is true that conflicts and internal tensions can lead to drinking, they are rather a consequence and not the reason for the illness.

According to my alcoholism classes, it is an irregular psychological state that responds to psychological reasons and largely to biological factors.

Although as I was chatting it is feasible that the disease is activated by psychological environmental factors, there is no doubt that most alcoholics have a metabolism either biological interiority or by alterations caused by abuse in the drink that differs from those of nonalcoholic individuals. To put it another way, medical progress has reached the threshold of offering greater help to the people involved, and consequently, the hope that the disease can be prevented and controlled, before its ravages become irreversible.
