In the famous Sianok canyon area, there ia a ravine that was formerly known as the Sangeet Buffalo or karbouwengat in Dutch, because many buffalo live in the area.

This photo was taken by Jean Demmeni, a photographer of French-Madurese descent living in West Sumatra, and the archive is kept by Leiden University in the Netherlands.
