San Mateo Cultiva Caña De Azucar Desde La Epoca Colonial

Actualmente las tierras de san mateo siguen siendo cultivadas con Tomate, ají, cebollín, pepino o cambur, entre otros rubros. Para el cultivo de la caña de azúcar se encarga principalmente una prestigiosa empresa llamada “El Palmar” quien produce azúcar y su producto se posiciona entre los mejores en el estado.
