Occasionally I'll see an old chimney standing alone while traveling rural back country roads and it always stirs the imagination.

yes Ma'am like you imagine that it may have been a pioneer's cabin or something? And what that would have been like? That's what it reminds me of.

Exactly! What their life must have been like and who their neighbors were and where did they go to get their supplies and it just creates a whole vision of imagination!

yeah, it had to be brutal I think, especially in the winter time, the stuff they had to go through! I like being spoiled!

They didn't have the waterproof high tech gear that we have today, either- just wrap a couple extra rags around your shoes and head out to do the chores!

haha yeah that's about right! They were much tougher back then. I know Butch's girlfriend was raised on a ranch so she could probably handle it, I don't know about the other girl, I know she was local so she was probably raised on a ranch too but still. They were raised on nice ranches with close neighbors, not in the middle of no where. Hopefully there was a river close by for water.

I really can't imagine what it must have been like.

me neither, I'm a wimp, especially in the winter time, I'd be huddled in front of that fireplace 24/7!
