RE: Woman Sues Seminary After Expulsion Over Same-Sex Marriage 👰

in Threespeak6 years ago

What I find absurd is not the expulsion, but the fact that a homosexual person thinks that nothing wrong will come out of their association with a religious institution. Is this person going to tellme that there were not other institutions available?
I'll say what I told my homosexual Lit students years ago (especially those who insisted on arguing that the bible did not discriminate or condemn--obviously they had not read it well or fully--, or those who tried to argue under the assumption that god is love and therefore any form of discrimination was going against god itself): unless you create your own sacred book where homosexuals and other kinds of infidels are accepted and loved, do not get even close to a religious organization. Sooner or later they'll demand certain changes you will not be able or willing to afford.
