This has been a very perplexing affair. I consider myself a dreamer and I wish the whole world would just get along with each other, but I know that's not gonna happen. I also know that historically humanity has been defined and forged through confrontations. This is a never-ending cycle.

Of course, with the current development in warfare, having wars here and there is not what it used to be, both in the kind of destruction caused and in the effect such conflicts might have in the rest of the world.

In this particular affair we know there is a lot at stake, we know there is radicalism on both sides, and we know that no side will benefit in any way from an all-out war.

Even if an official war is averted, there will be terrorist attacks here and there. It is beyond my understanding why, with all the intelligence, all the technology and all the high-tech war devices the world cannot get rid of those who just seem to live to cause chaos and destruction.

I think that time proved conspiracy theorists right when we see how the war on terror became some kind of business. Weapon manufacturers and all other businesses involved sem to be the only ones profiting from a problem that seems very convenient not to solve completely.

I think that Iran has overstated its military capacity and I think the USA has also overstated their intentions of punishing beyond repair.

It would be great if at the end of the day the whole affair would be solved as a business transaction, but, again, whenever we have religious fanatics involved we can expect more irrationality added up.
