The Diary Game|| October 9,2025|| "Coconut Harvesting Here at The Farm"

Today was another busy day we have here at the farm because we did coconut harvesting. My Father was decided to do coconut harvesting today and He already asked few people to do the job. Almost five hundred of coconut trees grows here and only few of it are not still produced lots of buko fruits. As for that, doing this job early in the morning is a must and very important so we keep avoiding of the intense heat happens here. Early in the morning when we started to wait to arrived those hired people who do the job. It will expected to come here a few minutes because it is slightly far from our house and it needs to crossed at the river. While waiting for them to arrived, My Mother was also busy preparing for our breakfast. It was already Seven in the morning when we ate our breakfast and after a few minutes, the hired workers has finally arrived.

Checking those Coconut Trees Before harvesting:

Before they started their work, they also checked those coconut trees very carefully so that it wont wasting of time climbing up in the Coconut trees. Aside of fruits, brown leaves, vines and cleaning the entire coconuts is also a must. As we observed today, only few coconut trees will not be harvested and we really hope we can have lots of coconut fruits to be harvested and sell at the Market place. It was lucky for us because there was no intense heat instead a big chunks of clouds almost covering at the sky. The fallen brown leaves are also useful and I will make it into a broomsticks.

As they finally started their work, I can see that they are very enjoyable of what they are doing. Only three workers are here but expected the job to be done in a day. This kind of job is not easy, it requires fucos and strength so we can perform the task and jobs very well. I was very amazed of those workers doing the job and it looks like they are enjoyed doing it. Every two months, we do coconut harvesting and sometimes it takes two days depends of the numbers of coconuts and workers. It was already 10 in the morning and still we are at the midst of our coconut farm. My Partner and my Father was busy gathering those coconuts in one place so it can easily hauled using a wooden cart pulled by a carabao, while I also kept myself busy by watching and supervising those workers and counted the coconut trees they climbed.

Gathering Dry Coconut Palm for Firewood:

Those fallen dry coconut palm are also gathered to make it as a firewoods. Since our place is now suffered rainy season, it is better to gathered lots of it. The coconut leaves are also used into a broomsticks and my plan for this is to sell at the Supermarket every Sunday. This was my tasks and obligations during coconut harvesting and it is not really dificult job for me.

Bunch Of Coconuts:

As I observed during our harvesting activities, hopefully we can gathered thousands of coconuts. The bunch of coconuts are brought out and gathered in one place, it is easy to hauled when those bunches are removed. It creates louder and noisy sounds everytime when those fruits cut and falled down and it is dangerous for farm raising animal like chickens, Goats and Cows that might be hit. Our Ornamental plants was also destroyed and hit by some coconuts but this is normal for us here every harvesting activities.

Chickens at the Farm:

I felt worried about my chicken, they walked at the farm while those coconuts keeps falling. It might be hit anytime, I tried to keep them away from the trees but keeps walking near at it to find food for her chicks. My chickens always went here just to finds food for their chicks but gladly it did not hit by coconuts that time.

Time To Eat Buko Fruits:

My Mother also asked those workers to get some buko fruits, she really missed eating bukos and my Mother only eats buko fruits every harvesting activities. We cannot climb the coconut tree, that is why we only waits until harvesting activities. After a few minutes, we gathered 5 pieces of buko fruits and she hurriedly broke it into half, put the buko juice in a tupper ware including the meat. This will be a perfect desert for a hot weather.

Its Paying Time:

After few hours of working, it is paying time. I submitted the list of numbers of coconuts to my Mother so she can calculated it before giving the Money to them. The process of paying here are the number of coconuts they climbed and each coconuts cost 12 Pesos that is equivalent to 1.7 steem. The total of the coconut trees they climbed reached 139 trees and the previous work they did last Harvesting activities and as my Mother totalled she will pay 2,568 Pesos that is equivalent to 367.9 steem tokens. The Works was succesfully finished and we are very thankful for the workers for their Good and Satisfied jobs. Until next posts, have a nice day to everyone.
