It was a delightful day when me and my Family was decided to visit our Farm far from our residential areas. Every week, we visited two or three times and checked those agricultural plants we have here. Aside of that to gathered lots of firewoods for a week uses, it is better to have lots of it specially during rainy season. I told my Partner to visit the place early in the Morning so we can avoided intense heat during the travel. This farm of ours is located near at the river and it takes almost an hour of traveling depends on how crowded and traffic the road is. Visiting this area is also worth it because of wonderful and relaxing views brought big and tall trees and wild plants. Aside of that, lots of birds and any wild animals can also be seen and a cool and fresh air we can truly feel. This is the reason why I really love to visit the place and I am luckily to have this kind of areas.

It was already 6 in the morning when we started to ride on a tuk-tuk vehicle, it was lucky for us because we did not wait a long period of time waiting for a passenger vehicles to arrived.

After almost an hour of traveling, finally we arrived at the place. Before reaching our Farm we crossed by this river and it was very cold since it was still 7 in the morning. I was very surprised because the river does not flooding even if a heavy rain occured here yesterday. This is the only way in order for us to take shortcut going to our farm but we only pass by here every calm and good weather season. Not far from the river is our Farm, and everytime when we do Gardening and watering the plants, I only fetched lots of water at the river. Sometimes, we also catched lots of fish and shrimps here for our meals and taking a bathed and washed our clothes.

Despite of happiest life of having this kind of place, there is also a sad part and this is the soil erosions due to big floods and heavy rains happens here. Our farm particularly the dry soil continously eroded and turned into a river. We planted lots of bamboo trees at the cliff but still the soil keeps collapsing and we really hope it wont be a total desaster and wont be destroyed our place. As we checked the place, the water current flows near at the cliff and it will have a soil collapsing any moment.

A Plain Areas and Hundreds of Coconut Trees

My Father planted this hundreds of coconut trees and it already gained a good and successful results by harvesting lots of coconuts to sell. Selling coconuts is one of our Family source of income and now, we planned to add lots of young coconut plants here at the Farm. It takes 29 years before producing lots of coconut fruits, and aside of that lots of dry coconut palm can get and used as firewoods. That is one of the reason why we came here aside of visiting our Farm. Almost four hectares of land are occupied with coconut trees and only few of it are not still produced any fruits.

Checking some Of Our Fruit Plants

I also checked my Cacao plants, My Grandma gave this young cacao plants. She gave me four young sprouts and my Partner decided to plant it here. I have a sad experienced about it because one of my Cacao plants was already died because of the goats ate it. First, I removed those wild grass near at the cacao plants so it wont be covered and wont died. Malching method, an act on which the surrounding soil near at the plants will only cultivated.

Next is the Guyabano fruits, I was very happy to see that the Guyabano trees already produced lots of fruits. As I counted all the fruits, it reached 10 Pieces of fruits but it cannot still ready to harvest. I am very excited to picked and harvest this for the right time.

It is not really permanently abandoned in fact my Father was planning to restored and reconstructed again. Last year we cultivated five thousand commercial telapia fish but becauese of the cracks, we temporarily stopped culturing. Our targest restoration activities will be on next year and we would like to add another pond so we can cultured lots of fresh water fish.

Not only the fish pond but also this piggery of ours. We also raised lots of pigs here but due to a pandemic happens last year here, our pigs died and our capital also lost that is why we decided to temporarily stopped raising. But know, my Father have already confidence to raised again so it can add to our family business. Until next post, have a nice day to everyone.
