Bireuen Regent Inaugurates Flag Raising Team (Paskibraka) Officers.
Bireuen Regent H. Mukhlis, ST, officially inaugurated the Flag Raising Team (Paskibraka) officers in a ceremony held on Friday evening, August 15, 2025, at the Old District Secretariat Hall, Kota Juang District, Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province.
The annual routine event commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Independence of the Republic of Indonesia was also attended by Deputy Regent Ir. H. Razuardi, MT, the Regency Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), and parents/guardians of the Paskibraka officers.
The Head of the 2025 Bireuen Paskibraka Coaching Team, Muhammad Iqbal, SE MM, told reporters that the prospective Paskibraka troops are students from public and private high schools (SLTA) in Bireuen Regency.
The purpose of this inauguration was to formalize the membership of the Paskibraka (Flag Rope) from their previous status as Paskibraka candidates to their current status as Paskibraka troops.
It was also stated that after being inaugurated as Paskibraka, they will carry out their duties on Sunday morning (August 17, 2025) to raise the Indonesian flag at the 80th Indonesian Independence Day commemoration ceremony.
That afternoon, the Paskibraka troops will also hold a flag-lowering ceremony at the Cot Gapu RTH field, Iqbal explained.
The Paskibraka inauguration ceremony began with the recitation of the pledge by Brigadier Israr Fuadi, S.H. (Retired from Paskibraka 2009), which was attended by all Paskibraka members.
This pledge carries profound meaning as a form of recognition, confirmation, and a pledge of loyalty from Paskibraka members in carrying out their duties and responsibilities.
The procession followed with the kissing of the Red and White Flag by Prameshwari Sekar Prabandari (a student at SMAN 1 Bireuen). She kissed the Red and White Flag as a symbol of nationalism, love for the homeland, and pride in the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
This procession also signified the acceptance of the Paskibraka members as selected cadres and successors of the nation with high dedication to the nation. It also marked their responsibility to carry out the flag-raising duties at the 80th Indonesian Independence Day ceremony, which will be held on August 17, 2025.
This was followed by the symbolic pinning of the kendit (flag) and the awarding of the Paskibraka ranks for the 2025 Bireuen Regency level. The pinning of the kendit, a symbol of skill, was wrapped around the waists of the Paskibraka representatives by the Regent of Bireuen, Mukhlis.
Following this, the parents of each Paskibraka member were conferred their ranks, and a prayer was read out by Aipda Muhammad Fuady, S.Sos., M.S.M.
On that occasion, the Regent of Bireuen, along with the Deputy Regent, the Speaker of the Bireuen Regency People's Representative Council, members of the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda), and several officials from the Bireuen Regency Government greeted and congratulated the newly inaugurated members of the Paskibraka (Flagship Flag Raising Team).
Meanwhile, the Regent of Bireuen, H. Mukhlis, ST, after the inauguration ceremony, wished the Paskibraka troops sufficient rest and good health, hoping they would be able to carry out their duties smoothly and successfully.
