Land fires again struck Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province, on Thursday, July 31, 2025. Bireuen firefighters battled to extinguish the fires in three locations in quick succession.

The Bireuen Fire Department (Damkar), particularly Team B, had a tiring day. They were faced with three land fires in different locations, all in quick succession. This situation left the Bireuen Fire Department in a state of panic, with virtually no rest.

The first fire broke out at around 12:20 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB) in Geulanggang Village, Juang City, Bireuen. The midday fire engulfed hundreds of square meters of dry land. The Team B team immediately responded to the scene after receiving reports from the public.

According to information from local residents, the burning land, covered in overgrown shrubs, suddenly spread rapidly, producing thick smoke.

The fire caused panic among the surrounding community, as the location was close to residential areas. They quickly contacted the Bireuen Fire Department.

Three fire trucks from the Bireuen City Post were deployed to the scene, and the fire was extinguished after intensive watering. The situation was back under control, though the cause of the fire remains unknown.

Without a chance to rest, officers received a second report at 2:55 PM WIB. A land fire broke out in Buket Teukuh Village, Kota Juang District, Bireuen, caused by an uncontrolled garbage burning.

Dozens of officers from three Bireuen City Post trucks were again deployed to the scene to extinguish the fire, which was threatening residents' homes. Strong winds and the rapidly spreading fire made it difficult for officers to extinguish the fire in the overgrown land, which was overgrown with shrubs and bamboo trees.

With swift, swift, and resilient action, officers finally managed to extinguish the fire. The fire was successfully extinguished, and there were no casualties.

Before they could rest, firefighters received further information from the public that a land fire had broken out in Geulanggang Village, Kota Juang District, Bireuen.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:58 PM Western Indonesian Time. Three fire trucks from the Bireuen City Post and one from the Juli Bireuen Post were deployed to the scene.

Upon arrival, officers immediately began to battle the fire. The burning area was quite extensive and close to residential areas, making it difficult for officers to extinguish the fire. This was due to strong winds, which caused the fire to spread rapidly and engulf the land.

A short time later, officers were able to extinguish the fire, bringing the situation back under control.

In the past week, Bireuen firefighters have been overwhelmed by the surge in land and brush fires.
