Thrift Store Shopping
Hello, Steemians! 5 days had gone so fast since my last post and I regret the times that I never post.
How's life? I have been absent here on Steem for the past few days because of my OJT on wheel loader Operation. I hope we are all under God's grace and Mercy.
In this post, I will share with you the time I and my wife went to the new thrift store in our place which opened on May 8 2025. People in the Philippines are very superstitious, and most of the business owners open their business in dates that consists of 8, whether 8, 18 or 28. They believe that number 8 brings luck and it could give success to thier business.

It was one evening when I and my wife decided to buy viand for dinner, the thing about the Philippines is that there are many stores around and there are vendors at the streets where pedestrians pass by. This is one of the reason why my refrigerator was not being used often since there are always fresh food being sold and by buying them only when I needed them, I would not be using electricity to make it work.
But as we were walking by, our attention got caught by the pile of clothes on the thrift store so we jumped in.
Buying new clothes is not in the plan but I do need a new pair of trousers to be used to wear during referee in basketball and boxing.we took some time checking the clothes on the tables but non caught my attention and so I went to the pants that were hung and found two that fits me need.
The store was surrounded by second hand clothes being hung to utilize the space. Hung clothes coats more than the ones on the table
The tables where clothes were piled were too small that one had to be careful not to get them to the floor. Since the area where the store was located in on a way where most of the factory workers pass by, the cheap prices catches everyone's attention making them come to the store
Clothes were strategically hung for the customer to select the things they needed
When I came to the cashier to ask ask the price, I decided to take one since each pair costs 3 USD ( 20 steem ) in today's price of 0.1459.
Second hand clothes from the thrift store are good, nothing is wrong with buying them but I do avoid buying underwears to avoid diseases.

Yes, I wear second-hand clothes and the great thing is there's a free second hand shop (clothes, shoes, toys, music, stuff for your house, curtains everything, next to it my eldest has a vintage shop with quality clothes, jewelry and so on, also free for me. Not that I need much..
That's great to know. I really admire people who take only what they need even if everything is free.
It feels a bit odd to take something and put it in a bag without paying 🤔 Still, we do it and they also have books and if I go I always bring things with me I no longer use.
There's a second hand shop but they are extremely expensive and they receive everything for free. 😡
I rather give it to the free shop.

Weird indeed, i can't imagine doing so, we had ben trained to pay for whatever we take from the store. Anyway, This is a very nice initiative, right? I hope more fees stores will rise soon
Tip: Try to use some original titles and not those boring: The diary game... + date ones!
Also use hashtags that makes sense. Yours don't. The only one that might you put at the last spot meaning it cannot be found. Also use short ones and words you would use to search for posts like these if you google.
