It might depend on the person, portal rules or country restrictions. I was learned at school to use "..." each time when the sentence of over four words is copied from some source and link the source without the quotes when the phrase is just inspired by some book or website.

Instead of quotes, you can use HTML

 > this sign allows to mark the quote

marked text will look that way. Then it would be good to mark the source directly next to the quote.

If @endingplagiarism says your post is fine, then you don't need to change anything and your way to mark the sources is okay. I'm sorry for the unnecessary accusation.
