Dignity is not manifested in grand, sublime gestures, and certainly not in wealth or recognition. It lives in the quiet way of remaining true to oneself, even when the world stubbornly wants to overlook you – and in the ability to treat another person in such a way that their heart beats not with shame, but with recognition.
