📝 mehwish-almas: She brings us the resource of using similes, taking them to such an extreme that it's impossible not to identify with the caged bird that doesn't want to be free. I made the second one my own; in it, you manage to connect with the soul. Your endings remind me of my style, somewhat rough, perhaps too direct, and which seems to contradict the beautiful language bordering on poetry at the beginning.
She quotes Nahj al-Balagha (Arabic version): "He who is stopped by what he has done, no brilliant lineage can make him flee." 🙏
