On a bright afternoon. The sun shone dimly covered by the clouds dancing with charming orange rays. The wind blew hard. The birds chirped accompanying my steps. I lay staring at the sky on the quiet terrace. I saw several kites flying. Diving, floating in the sky. I was fascinated.

Spontaneously, I got up. The enthusiasm to compete kites this afternoon was really high. I also invited my friend named Ahmad to play kites together. It turned out there were no kites at home. I went to buy one first. I asked Ahmat for help in choosing a kite.

"Mad, take me to buy a kite first. I don't have one yet. I ask you to choose one," I asked while smiling at Akhmad.
"Okay," replied Ahmat.
"But where is the one that sells kites near here to compete," I asked.
"Oh, there's one in the west of the hamlet, the kites are good," replied Ahmat.

Long story short, we had bought a kite. We got ready and went to the field. When we arrived at the field, Ahmad and I saw Budi, Andi, Ikbal, Rendi playing kite fighting.

"Mat here, let's play kite fighting, dare you?," Budi challenged me and Ahmat.
"Come on, I've brought this," Ahmat answered enthusiastically.

“Tib, let’s fight them.
“Gass,” I replied.

Our kites had flown high in the air. The strong wind blew, blowing the kites. I was happy, Ahmad’s kite was indeed good.
“Ready yet,” I asked.
“Ready,” Budi replied.

Our kites were dueling fiercely in the sky, 10 minutes had passed, neither my kite nor Budi’s had broken.
“Bud, I want to change the string first,” I said while lowering the kite.
“Yes, go,” Budi replied.
I lowered my kite and replaced it with another string.

“Are you done yet?” Budi asked impatiently.
“Okay, let’s continue,” I replied.

Our kites were dueling, I pulled my kite very quickly from under Budi’s kite until it crossed, and I snapped it hard until Budi’s kite broke.

“Wow, you can do that, great,” said Budi in amazement.
"Yes, the strings are steady," I replied with a happy face.
"Come on, take turns with me," Andi challenged.
"Come on," I answered confidently.

Because of the strong wind, Andi's kite rose quickly, we started to compete with our kites, the wind was too strong so that my kite was difficult to control until my kite hit Andi's kite until it was torn, then Andi got angry with me.

“Hey, don’t hit the kite, it’ll tear!” Andi said angrily.
“Yeah, sorry, the wind was so strong it was hard to control,” I said.
“Where’s my most expensive kite, there’s only one left and it got hit until it tore,” Andi said with an annoyed expression.

Andi, who was annoyed, approached me and cut the string of my kite that was flying until it broke and was carried away by the very strong wind until it flew very far.

“Wow, you’re playing carelessly, but you’re so emotional,” I said annoyed because Andi cut the string of my kite.
“You don’t want to know, you have to compensate for my kite, it costs 10,000.”
“You can’t do that, we’re competing against each other when our kites break or tear, so we each bear the risk ourselves,” Ahmat said to Andi.
“You know it’s just a game, right?” I replied. “Come on, I’ll just buy a new one,” Dian said to Andi.
“The price of one is 10,000, I don’t have the money,” Andi replied.
“That’s why if an expensive kite only has one left, don’t fly it, otherwise I won’t be happy if it breaks,” I said.
“Well, what can I do, just leave that one,” Andi replied.
“Okay, I’ll replace this one even though this kite only costs 3,000, I won’t give you two, the important thing is we can play again,” I said to Andi.
“Just take it rather than not playing,” Ahmat replied.
“Okay, it’s okay rather than just watching,” Andi replied.

“Sorry Tib for cutting your kite string, because I was emotional, and thank you for the kite,” Andi said, holding out his hand to shake.
“Yeah, it’s okay,” I replied, shaking his hand.
“Well then, no need to make a fuss, we’re friends,” said Budi.
“Let’s play again but no need to compete,” said Ahmat.
“Yoookk,” we replied enthusiastically.

Our five kites flew together in the sky calmly without competing, and we flew them while joking around until we became friends again.
