Dazzle

Everything is bright.
So bright that nothing’s left.
No edges, no depth,
just white —
that sounds like silence.

He says, I see,
but only sees the surface.
The shape beneath
flickers out.

You can lose your way
even in the light,
if you think
bright means clear.

Maybe darkness
is just the courage
to keep your eyes open
when the shining
gets too loud.

Blendung

Alles ist hell.
So hell, daß nichts mehr übrig bleibt.
Keine Kanten, keine Tiefe,
nur Weiß,
das klingt wie Schweigen.

Er sagt: Ich sehe doch,
doch er sieht nur die Fläche.
Die Form dahinter
flimmert weg.

Man kann auch im Licht
die Richtung verlieren,
wenn man glaubt,
hell sei gleich klar.

Vielleicht ist Dunkel
nur der Mut,
die Augen offen zu lassen,
wenn das Leuchten
zu laut wird.
