RE: Movie Review - Chhutir Ghonta - Classic Bengali Movie
When I saw the title and photo, I thought of Bollywood. Very colorful, very flashy. For us Europeans, often exaggerated on an emotional level and rather simplistic. Mind you, I'm talking about mass production. There are some outstanding exceptions that I really appreciate... And now I see: Bangladesh. And black and white. An interesting journey into the past ;-)) Here, too, films only became colourful in the 1960s; there are quite a few classics from before that time that you can still watch today...
Bangladesh had a magnificent past of making classic movies. Some of them are still meaningful. I am planning to review them. Thank you.
