Since childhood I loved to carefully examine paintings by various artists and find some interesting details for me that are not visible at a quick glance and today I decided to take a closer look at these paintings by the artist Konstantín Makovski "Demon and Tamara", "The Kissing Ceremony" and "Children Escaping from the Storm".

I will illustrate my thoughts with my drawings which in this case will be antipodes of the above-mentioned paintings in meaning.

I made this decision after seeing a parallel between the work of this artist and the artist whose house I ended up in with my father when I was seven or eight years old, and I remember those impressions and you know, some warmth in my heart from the first impressions, when I saw a house decorated with many sculptures cheerful and not so much, and cold in my heart after I saw the paintings inside the house.

Posts on all the paintings the death and funeral of the author of the paintings himself was present it was an incomprehensible and difficult sight.

I see something similar in the paintings of Konstantin Makovski there is absolutely no joy in them they are like a sentence.

Imagine that around us there are only evil and stubborn goats, evil dogs and absolutely nothing good.

The painting "Demon and Tamara" for me looks like the antipode of the chapter from the Bible where the meeting of the angel and Abraham's wife's slave Hagar is described, where the angel calls Arar not to do stupid things and return to Saara.

I think the angel was no less terrible in his anger, but he only wanted good for Hagar.

"The Kissing Ceremony" looks like humiliation, coercion, when there are many spectators around, but there is no warmth in it, it is like the humiliation of Jesus Christ, but without the subsequent resurrection and our salvation.

The anxiety I feel when looking at the painting "Children Escaping from a Storm" leaves no chance to think that children will be able to hide from bad weather, I would prefer to see children in a different setting, for example, happily picking mushrooms in the forest, or on the shore of a lake, fishing.

But, yes, a storm can overtake them there, but running away from a storm after good impressions is always more pleasant :).

And here we see children who, apparently, have nowhere to run, and how they ended up in the middle of a field and a thunderstorm is unknown.

Yes, I do not argue, fatalism has the right to exist in art, but there is so much evil around us that I want to look at something more positive.
