RE: La chica que llora (Esp-Eng)The girl who cries

I wonder if there's a different version... how about she dies and he sits happily at the fireplace, content with his painting, a bottle of red wine, memories of carnival, to figure out hours later he could have noticed she's deadly ill, or hung herself or drank the turpentine to kill the pain in her back?

perhaps @emmabritt has a good version

Jeje. Bueno allí está la semilla para otras versiones. Eso es lo maravilloso del arte: Todo puede decirse y hacerse de diferentes maneras, jeje.

I'm not sure if I have any story in my mind now because I really love this one. You know, stories without happy endings has deeper impact and they are more memorable.

And that is the idea of stories and the fairy tales. Disney messed them up and with that the lesson has been deleted.
🍀♥️

Yeah, Disney brainwashed us with that happily ever after thing.

Did you ever read the real ones? I can not find them that quickly and this site is Dutch, perhaps it's possible to translate,
In short. .stephmothers are mothers or parents, the warnings are against the dirty old men (pedophiles, incest, rapists) and the girls, Some rather cut of their legs and arms instead of being sold as a bride... it says enough if it comes to people, how girls, women thought and we didn't really made the world a better place,

Yes, I read a few of the original stories. Sleeping Beauty's story is especially memorable because that guy raped her!
It's the first time I read about Red Riding Hood, they really shouldn't change the story, It's an important message.

Yes, that's another one....
Snowwhite the same story.... even if you are left for dead you aren't safe.

I agree with you it's totally wrong to take out the message.

Probably can blame Disney for the kids that didn't get this message.
