It all starts with a curiosity; the cosmic voids

Souce

If we go much further into the cosmos, let's go into the depths of the universe. This is where things start to get really disturbing, we talk about cosmic voids.

Imagine that you wake up one day and there is absolutely nothing around you, you are floating in the universe, but there are no stars, no planets, no galaxies, no trace of anything, just absolute darkness in all directions, that is a huge cosmic void, regions of the universe where there is practically nothing and when I say huge I fall very short.

The Vold vacuum is one of the largest that exists, it has a diameter of 330 million light years, to give you an idea, its diameter could fit about 3,300 milky ways placed in a row, but the Eridanus super vacuum is even larger, almost double and it is very cold at minus 270 degrees Celsius, the curious thing is that it is not frozen because there is nothing to freeze, there is no matter, it is quite disturbing.

In a universe full of stars, planets and galaxies, how can these zones of absolute nothingness exist, it is as if someone had erased entire parts of the Cosmos and the worst thing is not that, the worst thing is that we do not know exactly why these voids exist. Some theories suggest that they could be the result of enormous cosmic explosions in the early days of the universe, others think that they could be evidence of parallel universes that collide with ours, but we do not know, we do not know because there is a nothingness and sometimes the unknown is the most terrifying thing of all.
