Leonardo da Vinci was not only the author of the most famous painting in the world. He studied the human body like no one else in his time. He invented amazing weapons. He designed flying machines that were impossible in his time. He lived in the 15th century, but he thought as if he came from the future.
Leonardo wrote backwards, he literally did it only in his private notebooks that can only be read with the help of a mirror. That is why it is called mirror writing, he would do it that way, because he was left-handed and that way it was easier to protect his ideas from prying eyes or for some reason that we do not know.
Leonardo da Vinci never finished most of his works, he was a genius, but also an incorrigible perfectionist, many of his most ambitious paintings, such as the Adoration of the Magi or Saint Jerome in the Desert, were left unfinished, and you can clearly see it.
There were so many ideas that arose in his head all the time that he was constantly distracted, he had ADHD, he was gifted and he got bored quickly with things or he simply got bored, however, he was not very bright in school, he was completely self-taught, he never went to any university, he did not learn Latin well either, which is a bit strange for the time, it would be like not knowing English today being a scientist, everything he knew he learned in his own way, observing a lot and still drawing more, and yet he had ideas several centuries ahead of his time.
