The implications of Starship Flight 10.

The Starship is 123 meters taller than a 40-story building and took off from Texas, opened the cargo bay in space and ultimately survived a cruel re-entry before virtually splashing down in the agreed upon waters of the Indian Ocean.

It was the tenth flight of the Starship and honestly the most successful test of the program so far, after abort and reentry failures, this most recent launch came out clean, the separation was without drama and the Super heavy booster executed its return with Splash Down in the Gulf of Mexico.

At 18 minutes, the StarShip opened the floodgates and released Starlink satellite simulators at a rate of about one per minute, nothing operational. Test units made to burn later, around 38 minutes in, the ship reverted to a vacuum-optimized Raptor engine, a key step for actual reuse, and faced reentry.

Rear flaps under stress, deep marks and one of them, but complete structure until the end, Splash Down in the ocean closing the mission in 67 minutes, Maybe you already know how the Starship works, but for those who do not understand exactly, think in two acts, in act one, the lower part that is the propellant gives the thrust and then returns training maneuvers until touching the water, in act two, the upper part ship becomes a delivery vehicle, opens the bay and releases the load of proof.

It demonstrates that it can start the engine in space, rotate the body for reentry and use fleps to brake and control the descent until the splash down, with cargo released, restart validated and reentry completed, SpaceX shows that the StarShip can act as a constellation delivery vehicle and in the future support missions to the Moon and Mars, as has been the project from the beginning.

It was a test flight with simulated load, without recovery of the ship and even with areas of the shield deliberately stressed, it is necessary to close reliability and total recovery and repeat the serial performance before calling it operational.
