The stormy wind seems to be approaching the fishermen in the middle of the sea
Hi everyone! On this occasion, I'd like to share a series of black-and-white photographs I took while following the fishermen at sea. In addition to these photos, I also want to share a short story that has left a deep impression on me.
Storms are a threat fishermen greatly fear. Even though bad weather often strikes, their determination to go to sea never wavers. A boat tossed amidst huge waves is no easy feat, yet it's a reality they must endure every day.
For fishermen, storms are not just an ordinary obstacle, but a real risk that threatens their safety. However, despite all this, they have no other choice. They must continue sailing, fishing, and risking their lives to provide for their families. The sea is both a source of life and a test of their greatest strength.
I felt the tension and fear they experienced, because that day I decided to join them on their voyage. My goal was one: to capture every second of their struggle through my camera lens. Amidst the crashing waves and the howling wind, I tried to capture every expression, every movement, and every story etched on their faces.
These black-and-white photographs may not fully capture the magnitude of the waves or the fierce wind, but I hope they convey the resilience, courage, and spirit of the fishermen. This is a glimpse into the story of humans and the sea—an eternal relationship filled with respect and struggle.
Thank you for reading and witnessing these moments. May we all have a deeper appreciation for every sea product and the hard work behind it.
I think I experienced the tension before the storm that you describe in the images and the story of how the fishermen react to the inclement weather.
The photos have an almost cinematic quality; they speak for themselves.
I think you were brave to be there to capture those images.
Beautiful post.
