My Second Retro Adventure: Battling Aliens in Steem RetroGames' Space Invasion

Having just had so much fun with Steem Pong I just could not help giving a second round with the Steem RetroGames. Today I tried a game out called, Space invasion, and boy did it fail to deliver. I keep getting as impressed by this platform with its fresh approaches to old arcade games.

Landing on the home page, I did not have any problem to reach to the selection called "Space Invasion". The game gives concrete directions before getting into the act, which is extremely convenient to an amateur. As you can see on the Screenshot, it gives you precise instructions on what keys to press: to fire choose the key Space, to have a laser use Up Arrow, and to move use Left and Right chords. It even gives the suggestion of purchasing a token to be able to play and it gives the impression that there is something rewarding in the process besides having fun.

As soon as I pressed P to play, I was straightway impelled to a gigantic intergalactic battlefield! The graphics were so colourful and the sound effects in the game are very typical arcade, and they caught my attention immediately. My quest was apparent: destroy the waves of alien invaders that attacked Earth. The screenshot scopes the perfection as far as intensity of the game is concerned: those threatening aliens falling down, and my good old spaceship that is coming to save our planet.

The game is very fast and reaction time is needed. It is an exciting task to avoid enemy fire and shooting at them strategically. Every wave also appears to offer new structures and even more difficult opponents, making the levels remain as thrilling as they should be. It drew me in and I was simply absorbed to get rid of all the aliens on the screen.

Although it is just a fun-to-play game, what I really like about the Steem RetroGames, is that it can bridge the oldschool arcades with the Steem blockchain in a very natural way. Precisely because I know that my growth and success will be included in this new ecosystem, it makes me an additional engagement. It is a genius idea to dust old popular games but give the players a fresh spin.

Whether you like the old-school arcade shooters or simply want to have a pleasant and fulfilling gaming time, you simply cannot miss a chance to play Space Invasion on Steem RetroGames. Wonderful combination of nostalgia with traditional features of new blockchain applications, no game fan can be indifferent about it! I already can wait when I will face the next retro adventure on the platform.
