Many of you know that I live in Meherpur, Bangladesh. This place is suitable for growing a lot of jute and a lot of jute is grown. Jute is an important cash crop in Bangladesh. It is known as "golden fiber". It is exported abroad and earns foreign currency every year. Jute plants are tall, slender and green in color. Jute is usually grown during the rainy season and harvested at the end of summer. Fiber is mainly extracted from the bark of the jute plant, which is dried to make jute rope, sacks, burlap and other materials. However, jute cultivation is not very easy. Farmers have to work hard from the beginning. Through hard work, golden fiber jute and paddy straw are obtained.

The stick-like part of the plant that remains after cutting jute is called paddy straw. If you look at the photography, you can see that the paddy straw is arranged very beautifully along the side of the road. It is basically arranged so that it dries quickly in the sun and can be used. Paddy straw is used as fuel. It burns easily and is very useful for cooking. Many people also use jute chalk to build fences or small houses. Since it is biodegradable, it also helps in increasing soil fertility. Both jute and jute chalk are important parts of our agricultural life. Just as jute is economically valuable, jute chalk is also a natural resource widely used in daily life. I noticed that when I was young, our family used to make beautiful walls or fences with this material. Even now, its popularity may have decreased a lot, but in many places, this jute chalk fence or wall can be seen. I noticed that people of different nationalities used to make various things with this material.

In the month of Ashadh, Shrawan, Bhadra, it can be seen that these kinds of chalks are dried very beautifully on the side of the roads in our Gangni Meherpur. These are sold at a very high price. Many people buy them for large fences and many people buy them to make ash. Apart from this, they are very much needed for various purposes. So I have noticed that they are never wasted or left lying around. Just like the money-making crop, finding a similar lesson is also very important and necessary in our country. Therefore, we need to give more importance to this cultivation of Par so that more production is done and foreign exchange can be earned.

I have been observing since I was a child that my family members are involved in jute cultivation. Our village is full of jute. During the rainy season, there is no place to step foot in the village. So much jute is produced that in the end, it has to be taken to other villages to be washed away under water. Still, the farmers do not get tired, they always make themselves self-reliant in their work. And thus, a lot of jute is cultivated here all the time.
