One such important change has recently taken place in our village home. After many years, the old main gate has finally been replaced with a brand-new stainless-steel (SS) gate.

The old gate had been guarding our home’s security for many years. But with time, its condition had deteriorated. Rust had taken hold, the paint had peeled off, and its heavy structure had made opening and closing inconvenient — all of which made installing a new gate a necessity. Considering both safety and aesthetics, our family decided to replace it with a modern one.

After days of research, comparing prices, and reviewing designs, we finally selected a shiny stainless-steel gate. It is not only visually appealing but also strong and durable. The cost was around eighty thousand taka. While that may sound like a significant amount, it was a worthwhile investment to ensure both security and beauty.

The day of installation felt almost like a small festival at home. From morning, the workers arrived with iron rods, steel bars, gas cylinders, welding machines, hammers, drills — all sorts of tools. Removing the old gate and setting up the new one was an exciting process to witness. Cutting large steel pipes, welding, measuring for perfect alignment, installing a new locking system — it was like watching a piece of engineering art take shape.

The tiles were carefully selected to match the design of the gate, transforming the entire appearance of the front entryway. The masons meticulously placed each tile, ensuring level alignment and neat grouting for a flawless finish.

Now, the entrance to our village home looks far more modern, secure, and elegant than before. Neighbors have been coming by to admire the new look. Some say, “It looks grand!” while others comment, “Feels strong, great for safety too.”
