Hello dear friends,
I hope you all are doing well and spending a beautiful life with your loved ones. I wish you all happiness and peace.

Life often feels like a busy highway. Every day we keep running—sometimes with a purpose, sometimes without one. With office work, daily responsibilities, and the pressure to fulfill future dreams, we often forget the beautiful moments we leave behind. But sometimes, unexpected events come our way that not only lift our mood but also add a new chapter to our memories. Yesterday evening was exactly one of those rare and unforgettable moments for me, centered around Mizan Bhai’s famous chotpoti and an unexpected reunion with an old friend.

I was returning home from the office, completely exhausted. The monotony of daily routines and work pressure had left my mind heavy. As I walked along a familiar road in Narayanganj, my eyes suddenly caught a familiar face. At first, I couldn’t recognize him, but something felt oddly familiar. As I got closer, a surprised “Hey!” broke the silence—it was my old roommate! After so many years! All my tiredness vanished in an instant, and my heart felt as light as a bird.

His name is Mamun. We used to live under the same roof once, sharing laughter, tears, and countless memories. Seeing him again felt like time had frozen. “How are you, my friend?”—such a simple question, yet it carried so many unsaid feelings. Then began our endless conversation. We were genuinely curious about each other’s lives. Mamun shared that he’s now married and has a sweet four-year-old son. He’s doing well in a private company and lives with his family in Narayanganj. Hearing about his success made me really happy. He was equally eager to know about my recent life. We talked about the changes in our lives, future plans, and dreams. It truly felt like the long gap of time had just vanished, and we were back to the old days again.

In the midst of our chat, we noticed Mizan Bhai’s famous chotpoti stall. If you’re from Narayanganj, you’ve probably heard of his chotpoti. I had eaten there many times before, but yesterday’s experience was something else. Maybe it was the joy of seeing an old friend, or the peace of sharing stories long kept inside—whatever it was, the chotpoti tasted better than ever.

As the hot plate of chotpoti arrived, an amazing aroma filled the air. The perfect use of spices, the tangy tamarind flavor, the boiled eggs and crispy papri on top—wow! Every spoonful felt like a new adventure of taste. We kept eating and chatting, the spicy chotpoti mixing perfectly with the warmth of our reunion. Time felt like it had stopped. Each ingredient—chickpeas, yellow peas, potatoes, onions, green chilies, eggs, coriander—everything blended so well. The crispy papri added an extra layer of crunch that made each bite delightful. The spice level was just right—not overwhelming, but refreshing with each mouthful.

This unexpected meeting and the delightful taste of chotpoti not only satisfied my appetite but filled my heart with happiness. In the rush of life, moments like these—when old bonds come alive again—are truly precious. The flavor of the chotpoti may fade, but the warmth and joy of that evening will remain etched in my memory forever.

It reminded me that life is not just about chasing goals, but also about cherishing small moments. Reconnecting with old friends, being a part of their lives—these are what make us human. In an age of social media, we may stay connected virtually, but nothing compares to the joy of sitting face-to-face and sharing stories.

That evening gave birth to a sweet memory. It inspired me anew. I hope many more such beautiful moments await me in the future, where old bonds will be rekindled, and new experiences will enrich my life even more. I might eat Mizan Bhai’s chotpoti again someday, but the feeling of that particular evening—the emotions and memories—will forever remain in my heart. This is not just a story of eating chotpoti, but a tale of friendship, unexpected joy, and the revival of memories.

Thanks all
