A very informative post. I like that Steemit allows us to learn about the culture of other countries, and in this case, the names of different vegetables.
For example, we in Venezuela call "taxa" "bush cucumber," which, as you say, has a distinctive taste and texture.
We call "dheros" "quimbombó," and in Africa, they call it "okra" and also "gombo."
