Genus "Zelus sp" Refers to a genus of bugs that prey on other insects, earning them the name "assassin bugs" in various parts of the world. They feed on all types of insects, including agricultural pests, and can be both beneficial and harmful. More than 70 known species have been reported. Today we'll look at two of them. Note the ovoid shape at the end of its wings and its alternating black and white stripes, as well as the stripe near its head. This makes it a very photographable specimen, and if left undisturbed, it remains motionless.

This species is less colorful, using darker shades of brown. Despite all this, the patterns on the tips of the wings and the stripes around them are maintained, but they are less visible.
