A few days ago when I visited an old pond located in my village. The rainy season was going on and the greenery around had filled the entire atmosphere with freshness. The layers of clouds were spread on the sky as if an artist had painted it with light gray color. There was a scent of moisture and soil in the air, which was giving peace to the mind.

On reaching the banks of the pond, first of all my eyes fell on the green leaves spread in the water. These were not ordinary leaves, but there were large, round and bright leaves of lotus plants, which were floating on the surface of water as if someone had laid green carpets. Pink lotus flowers were blooming in the middle of them. Some flowers were completely blooming, while some were still waiting for their turn in the form of a bud.

I was very close to a pink lotus flower. His petals were light pink in color, and the middle part was shining with a golden aura. Seeing her beauty, I stayed there for a while. There were some buds nearby, which will spread her beauty in the coming days.

Grass and small plants were also greatly grown on the banks of the pond. The rain water made the soil here even more fertile. From a distance I saw a beautiful bird. His body was blue and light redness near the throat. He was running very quickly on lotus leaves, perhaps looking for food. This view made the entire pond alive.

This scene of the pond was truly about to fascinate the mind. Light waves in water, insects floating between leaves, birds flying in the sky. Everything was telling a wonderful story of nature. Coming to this place it seems that the breath of peace can be taken away from the runaway and noise of the city.

Such places remind us that we do not have to go too far to see and feel the beauty of nature. It is enough to stop for a while and see the views around you. For me this day and this walk will always be memorable, because in this I got a chance to see the true form of my village and the true beauty of nature.
