Dr. Zakir Hossain City Corporation Medical College and Hospital is located at No. 2 Abhay Mitra Ghat, Firingi Bazar area, Chittagong. The college was established in 1934. The college was recognized in 1967. Since its establishment, the college has been offering a four-year "Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery" course. With the tireless efforts of the teachers and the cooperation of the Honorable Mayor of Chittagong City Corporation, the Ministry of Health has recently given initial recommendations to start a "BSc in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery" course in the college.

This college has six floors. On the first floor of the college, on one side, treatment is provided for "outdoor patients". On the other side, there is an "emergency department" where services are provided to affected people. Although people have little confidence in the scientific basis of homeopathic treatment, patients suffering from various diseases are provided with great care every day in this college.

There is a teacher's auditorium room on the second floor of the college building. Next to this room is a computer lab. In this computer lab, students are taught how to select medicine based on symptoms. This computer lab is quite neat and tidy.

Books
After entering the third floor of the college building, you will see the library of this college. Here, in a very quiet and peaceful environment, students will get the opportunity to read books written by various renowned homeopathic experts from home and abroad. Very important books have been arranged very beautifully in every corner so that anyone who wants can sit here and gain knowledge on homeopathic subjects. Books written in both English and Bengali are available in this library.

The remaining three floors of the college building house classrooms for students from first year to fourth year. Each floor has separate washrooms for both boys and girls. Students are taught in two branches, day and night. Day branch students' activities are conducted from 10 am to 1 pm. Night branch activities run from 6 pm to 8 pm.
