Today I am writing about an interesting Steemit Engagement Challenge S26- W4: ||Home decor pottery out of "plaster of Paris"".** this amazing challenge organised by @sualeha . So, in this post I am going to share my point of view about this topic.

In today's challenge, I had to make a project from pop, something for home decoration, so for that I decided to make an evil eye to put on the door of my house.

The materials required are as follows:

Plaster of Paris
A bowl
A spoon
Water as per requirement
Plastic round Mould
Paint
Brush
I took two screws to make holes

Step 1

First of all, I took a plastic round lid and greased it to make it smooth

Step 2

Then I took out the pop in the bowl and then slowly I added water as much as I needed to make its batter.

Step 3

When the batter was ready, I poured the batter into the greased plastic mould and then when it set properly, I put a screw in it to make a hole

Step 4

Left it for 2 hours, after 2 hours I saw that it came out easily, it had become solid.

Step 5

After that I started painting it. First of all I painted black in the middle, the evil eye was colored according to the colors I wanted, dark blue, light blue and white color and black, and then hung a string in that hole.

I had a leftover evil eye showpiece from Rakhi, so I hung that. I wanted more pendants for it but I didn't have any, so I took blue colored thread used for sewing clothes and made a lachhi out of it. Then I cut it with scissors, folded it and hung it in it.

So this way my hanging evil eye was ready

Absolutely, we all like to decorate our house. Actually we work like potters, we like to decorate our house with things made by our own hands and also take care that no one's evil eye falls on our house, so when I saw this contest, the first idea that came to my mind was to make this evil eye. Why not make an evil eye to put on the door of your room? Evil eye is very much in trend these days.

A person wants to give something made by his own hands to someone who is close to his heart, who is very special to him. Because when we make something handmade, it includes our creativity, emotions and the likes and dislikes of the person for whom we are making it, then it becomes an emotional gift.
