Hope you are all well by the grace of Allah. In SLC-S26/W1 @sualeha mam has selected an amazing creative idea. In the first week's presentation we will learn how to make a flower vase with cement. The theme of the first week is SLC-S26/W1| Basic tools for pot making /Cement pot"| I will share my creativity with you without delay.

Final look of my Cement Pot

1 . Make a beautiful pot from cement use any design of mold as your convenience ,follow given method in the course ,add detail with step-by-step pictures. Include your name tag with the date at the final presentation of your work.

This is my first experience of making a flower pot with cement. So I will try to follow the directions given by my teacher very well so that I can make a perfect flower pot.

Materials required for making a cement flower pot:

Cement 2 cup
Sand 3 cups
Oil
Paints
Paint Brushes
Tape

Steps for making a cement flower pot:

Step 1:

• First of all, it is important to choose a plastic mold to make a cement flower pot. I chose a plastic basket which has a beautiful design around it. I chose this mold to make a flower tub because if you make a flower pot with it, you will get a beautiful design around the flower pot. It will be ready. I gathered all the materials for making the vase.

Step 2:

• Now I wrapped tape around the mold that I took to make the cement pot. Since I will be putting wet cement inside the mold to make the cement pot, it is very important to wrap the tape around the mold.

Step 3:

• Now I took a separate container to prepare the cement sand mixture. I sieved the cement sand using a sieve and smoothed it out, then mixed the required water to prepare the cement sand mixture. While preparing the mixture, care should be taken to ensure that the amount of cement and sand is correct.

Step 4:

• Now the cement sand mixture is ready to make the cement pot. Now I put the prepared mixture in the plastic mold that I had prepared earlier. I filled the mold with the mixture and placed a pot in the middle. Then I left it for 24 hours to dry.

Step 5:

• After waiting 24 hours, I unmolded the cement sheet and took it out. It had set well and was dry.

Step 6:

• Now the cement pot is ready to be painted. Here I have used white, red, green and yellow paint to paint the cement pot.

Step 7:

• First, I painted the entire cement pot with white paint. Then I painted the inside and outside with green paint. Now the cement pot has a different look.

Step 8:

• I tried to make the cement pot colorful using different colors. I painted flowers and leaves on the cement pot.

3 . Did you face any difficulty during tasks or anything regarding purchasing materials?

No, I did not face any difficulty during the task or while purchasing the materials. I was a little scared during the task because it was my first task. I have never made a cement vase before. I made the cement vase by following the instructions given by my teacher in the course. I hope my experience will increase the second time I make it. I didn't face any problem while buying the materials because the materials I bought for making the vase were available at the shop next to my house. So I didn't have any problem buying the materials for making the vase.

4 . What do you think? Does playing with clay or different materials make you happy /stress-free???

Yes, of course playing with clay and different materials makes me happy and stress-free. Using clay and different materials, we can create crafts of our own choice, which improves our mindfulness. Along with playing with clay and different materials, we can also discover something creative, which improves our mood. As a child, I used to play with this clay by making dolls, pots and pans of different shapes. Today, I was able to reminisce about those times while playing with clay and other materials. I think many people like to play with clay and create something creative. Playing with clay reminds us of those childhood memories.
