The Diary Game: "Peusijuk" Students Involved in Incidents at School

Hello Steemit friends, good evening and best wishes to everyone. How are you today? I hope you are all in good health and always under the protection of Allah SWT, allowing you to carry out all your activities well. Alhamdulillah, I'm back to share my daily activities on this happy day.

Friday is a very special day for Muslims all over the world, including in my beloved province of Aceh, nicknamed the Veranda of Mecca. This province has long implemented Islamic law in all aspects of daily life. Friday, the fifth day of the Islamic calendar, is also known as the "king of days" or "Sayyidul Ayyam." It is not without reason that it is considered special, as many important events for Muslims have occurred on Fridays. Among them, Friday is believed to be the day when Allah SWT reunited the Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) and Hawa (Eve) on Mount Rahmah after many years of separation.

Friday's other virtues include the forgiveness of sins, a time for prayer, the multiplication of rewards for charity, a death considered husnul khatimah (good ending), and freedom from the torment of hellfire. Allah SWT will grant manifold rewards to His followers who do good and perform worship on Friday with sincerity. On Fridays, Muslims are expected to immediately abandon all activities, including buying and selling, when the call to prayer (adhan) sounds from the mosque. I begin my activities on this blessed day by waking up at dawn. The melodious call to prayer from the loudspeaker at the Babul Huda Panggoi Mosque signals the arrival of dawn.

After bathing and performing the two rakaat sunnah prayer of dawn at home, when the iqamah was heard in the still pitch-dark atmosphere, I left the house to perform the obligatory dawn prayer in congregation at the mosque. After dawn, as usual, on my way home, I exercised by walking a few hundred steps. Simple and inexpensive exercise but has many health benefits. After exercising before heading to work, I took a moment to lie down with Raffa, who was still fast asleep. Alhamdulillah, this blessed Friday morning the weather was so bright with the sun shining brightly on the earth. After breakfast and warming up the engine of the vehicle, at seven o'clock, I left the yard of my beloved house.

I headed to my assigned school, located in Paya Punteut village, Muara Dua sub-district, Cunda, Lhokseumawe City. As usual, before arriving at my assigned location, I stopped for a cup of coffee at my regular coffee shop. This school year, I was scheduled to teach every Friday, a rare occurrence. On Fridays, I also had the additional task of coordinating the daily shift. Usually, my main activity on Fridays was simply attending the recitation of verses from the Quran. The recitation activity before teaching this morning involved the recitation of Surah Al-Mulk, led by the twelfth grade students. After this blessed Friday morning routine, I took a short break, and the students were also given the opportunity to buy snacks.

A few moments later, as the duty officer, I rang the bell to signal the start of class. While waiting for some of the people involved in the incident a few days ago, I headed to the duty desk. As planned, this Friday, a peusijuk (community cleansing) ceremony for students involved in a fight at school would be held. The ritual was led by a religious figure from Paya Punteut village. As soon as noon approached, I finished teaching and stopped by to pick up Raffa from school. Upon arrival, I rested for a moment and then prepared to head to the mosque to attend the Friday prayers until they were finished. Then, until bedtime, I simply carried out my usual routine activities at home.
