Purchasing my roll up stands and delivering my flex banner printing jobs// 23/06/2025.

For years, I had been renting roll-up stands for my clients whenever I had printing jobs for flex banners to be fixed on roll-up stands. It was a convenient arrangement, but it also meant that I was at the mercy of the rental company's availability.

That all changed today. I had a printing job to deliver for a burial ceremony that was scheduled for tomorrow. I had completed the printing of the flex banners, but when I went to pick up the roll-up stands, I was shocked to discover that they had all been rented out.

My client was breathing down my neck, expecting me to deliver the stands as agreed. I couldn't afford to disappoint him, not on such short notice. So, I made a split-second decision: I would purchase my own roll-up stands.

The problem was that the new stands were expensive, 43,000 Naira each, which meant that three stands would cost a whopping 129,000 Naira (equivalent to 665 steem). I didn't have that kind of money readily available.

So, I decided to opt for fairly used stands instead. They were much cheaper, at 20,000 Naira each, which brought the total cost to 60,000 Naira (equivalent to 309 steem). It was still a significant expense, but I knew it was a necessary investment.

I was relieved to have found a solution, and I quickly completed the purchase. I was able to deliver the stands to my client on time, and he was thrilled. As I looked at the three roll-up stands, now proudly owned by me, I felt a sense of pride and accomplishment.

It had been an unexpected expense, but it was also a valuable lesson in being prepared and taking control of my business. From now on, I would no longer be at the mercy of rental companies. I had taken a significant step towards independence, and I was excited to see where this new development would take my business.
