Goodness me, well-done this one would have taken a long time to actually write, the analysis is great however what caught my attention was that you said the The league is structured to prevent any particular team from dominating each season and it got me thinking I hope it isn't to favour the owners of betting companies?

They don't want too many people guessing the right super bowl winner each seasion. So a more even playing field helps that way. I think a key objective is to enable any team a chance of making the Super Bowl. Before the salary cap, the richer teams had an advantage by being able to pay top salaries.
