In my case, the ultimate lesson in this scenario is that ambitions make us strive to do our best. You set your goal to 1000 and even though you fell short of it by a little margin, you still made it very close. This tells us that nothing is wasted on trying and concentrating and even when we do not reach the target we hit a spot.
