RE: Judas, el Elegido del Silencio.
It got me thinking, honestly.. This is just how I understand it. I think Judas was really destined to play the role of the traitor so that Jesus' purpose would be fulfilled. But the thing is… he ended up taking his own life.
From what I see, the betrayal part, maybe he didn’t have a choice there. But the suicide, that was entirely his decision. He still had the choice to live and ask for mercy.. But he chose to end it. Maybe he was extremely depressed. That kind of sin must’ve felt unbearably heavy.
So, what’s stuck in people’s minds is really just the fact that he betrayed Jesus. Nothing else about his life gets talked about because he chose to end it. If only he stayed alive, he could’ve had the chance to start over... to change, to do something right. That way, people might’ve remembered him differently. But maybe he just couldn’t handle the guilt… the weight of what he did. It’s heartbreaking, really. He never got to stand up again or rewrite his story. That kind of struggle must’ve felt like carrying the weight of the world alone.
Congrats for the good comment!
