Wow, you have brought my childhood memories back even if I still feel mesmerized when I experience petrichor. It's so pleasant when the first rain falls on dry soil; it is wonderful and brings such positive feelings.

I feel this sweet aroma comes from oils released from plants. But one thing is for sure, we humans filled up with feelings of relief and a unique connection with nature. By the way, there is a scientific reason behind this, but I will take it as a boon from Mother Nature.

I don't know what causes petrichor because when something wet touches something hot, it should be a different smell, but what we get it in the form of petrichor is a "wonderful" smell. This smell always evokes powerful emotions, and I get lost in my childhood memories.
