I think dad should always make the big decisions in the family because the father is always the head of the family and not the mother. However, the decisions that have to do with taking good care of the family, like buying foodstuffs, attending to children's welfare, such decisions would be taken by the mother because the mother is better in this area than the father.

The reason for choosing Dad as the person who is to make the biggest decision is that in Africa, we believe the father is the head of the family, and it is also stated in the Bible that the head of the family is the father, which is the reason why I chose what I have chosen.

No, I don't think big decisions should be left for only one person to make because there are some areas in which the person may not be perfect. Decision-making shouldn't be left to one person alone; it should be something that is shared by both father and mother.

My advice to families going through this phase in deciding who should make decisions is for the families to work in unity and understanding rather than trying to know who is the superior in the house. It is said that two heads are better than one, which I would advise such families to always work together as one.
