The Diary Game: Spending My Day With My Son (30/08/2025)

in africansonsteem23 days ago

So, my son has been sick since yesterday, I did not know it was serious not untill this night that he was all running temperature, me and my wife had to stay up all night to make sure we see to it that he was okay, I couldn't sleep till this morning and when he slept around 5am, that was when I slept for 2 hours and woke up by 7am so I could prepare and go to work.

I had to take him first to the clinic so he would be examined and then drugs prescribed to him so I walked through this path and did not take the normal tarred road so the noise won't affect him as he was complaining about headache. We went there and injection was given to him before we went to work together.

When we arrived our shop, he was now strong enough to stay on his own and was playing while I kept a close watch on him, so I began to work and was delivering customers clothes. My happiness was how he was happy playing with other kids. Then I bough food for him since it was getting to afternoon.

When he finished eating, I gave him his book to read while I concentrated with the work I came to do. When my wife came to the shop, she was helping me rinse the clothes I washed and also ironed some of the clothes while I focused more on the big clothes like duvet, bedsheets and jeans.

She prepared small soup in the workshop because in my workshop I make sure I have gas cylinder and other items used for cooking incase I have contract that needs my full attention in the shop. She cooked melon soup and we ate it then I gave my son his medication.

When we finished, we went back home and to be truthful, I don't really like porridge, my wife made porridge in the morning and so I told her we should take tea, luckily we bought bread and milk while coming back home, she made tea and that was what we ate.

Stay Blessed
