I'm from eastern Venezuela, specifically from a small town called Carúpano. Here, our daily lives revolve around the sea: the economy, the songs, the poems, and the stories... And even more so in our homes, when it comes to preparing our meals, since we easterners eat a lot of fish, among other things, because it's cheap, tasty, and also because of its freshness.

The dish I'm sharing with you today is: Fried Catalana, with grilled corn arepa, lettuce salad, cucumber, tomato, onion, and avocado.

This food is delicious and very healthy. The fish was so fresh that its flavor lingered on my palate for a long time. To tell the truth, I wanted to eat more, hehe. But there wasn't enough, so I had to settle.
