RE: ♥♥♥♥ "Snow Cave in my Heart" ♥♥♥♥
I am precisely the same! Seasonal depression I think is the term. Whilst there are aspects of Winter that I love, I will say that I am definitely a Summer girl! I love the light and sunshine. Even if I have an afternoon nap, I don't like the curtains closed etc. I like the room to be filled with light and filtered sunshine... then I sleep like a lamb! :)
I am glad the sunshine rays are heading your way :)
Here it is SADD "Seasonally Affective Depression Disorder" (I think)
I however, can't easily sleep unless it is as dark as possible. If I am exhausted maybe.
So at night, all the lights I see are the little dots on the powersupplies, power strips and my TV that is on standby.
If it blinks, it's gotta go. Anything that catches my attention if I happen to open my eyes whilst trying to fall asleep will prevent me from doing so.
During the day, there is the inevitable leakage around my thick velvet curtains and around the doorways, but I still manage to nap, most of the time.
I sleep with one of those eye mask thingies on my face... it helps a lot!
I've not tried one of those... yet, but I wonder if having something on my face would prevent me from sleeping.
I dread having the Dr's tell me I have "sleep Apnea" and need to wear one of those CPAP machine masks.
I don't think I do.
Yeah I know many people cannot sleep with them. It does take a little getting used to. oh a machine mask sounds horrid!
The CPAP machines are pretty bad, but they save lives. People who periodically stop breathing during the night die very often as a result.

My mama said she would sometime lie awake at night and give my daddy a shake, not to wake him up, but just to start him back breathing. They make a ghastly noise too.
I guess you are unfamiliar with them?
There are many different designs, this one seems the most onerous to me
yes I was completely oblivious that such a thing even existed.... that is pretty hectic! But, obviously I can understand the need for it... although I will say, I do hope you never have to get one!
Me too @jaynie, me too!
