Agriculture of vegetables.
How are you all, I hope everyone is well. I have come to participate in this beautiful competition among you. And I am really happy to participate in this wonderful competition. Actually, Bangladesh is an agricultural country where vegetable production is also an important part along with rice, wheat or pulses. And vegetables are essential in our daily food and therefore the importance of vegetables in the country's economy and rural life is immense. And vegetable production varies according to the season and only by producing the right crop at the right time can farmers achieve good yield and income.
- I have mentioned the answers to this competition below, I hope you like it. 👇
✅1.Which is the main vegetable in your country and in which season is it produced? |
---|
Eggplant is one of the most common vegetables in our country and eggplant is available in almost every market throughout the year. It is best produced in winter and again in summer, especially due to hybrid varieties, a lot of eggplant is produced. And beans or beans are usually available more in the monsoon and autumn. The humid weather of this time is most suitable for the growth of beans. And pumpkin and papaya grow all year round, but they are especially produced in summer and monsoon. And on the other hand, bamboo shoots can be collected only in the rainy season because new bamboo shoots grow during this time. This diversity of vegetable production not only meets the food needs of our country, but also keeps the market active. And this abundance of seasonal vegetables actually creates opportunities for farmers and earns more and provides nutritious food at affordable prices to the common people.
✅2.How important is the selection of season in vegetable production? |
---|
Season selection is a very important aspect in vegetable production. Each vegetable has its own favorable weather. And for example, brinjal grows well in hot and dry weather and beans grow well in the humid and rainy season if farmers plant the crop in the right season. However, the plants grow faster, are less susceptible to disease and insect attacks, and the yield is higher. On the other hand, choosing the wrong season increases the risk of crop damage. For example, if winter vegetables are planted in the heat, they dry out and the yield decreases. As a result, the farmer's costs increase and the supply in the market decreases. Therefore, choosing the season is equally important not only for the farmer but also for the consumer.
✅3.How does the production and sale of vegetables affect the financial policy of a country? |
---|
Vegetable production has a major impact on the country's economy and it cannot exist without vegetables in the daily diet. And if there is more production, the supply in the market increases, the price decreases, and the common man can easily buy vegetables. And this ensures food security in the society. And on the other hand, if farmers can sell their produce at the right price, their income increases, which strengthens the rural economy. Vegetables not only meet domestic demand but also bring foreign exchange for the country through export abroad. And vegetables from Bangladesh are exported to many countries, which has a positive impact on the economy. And for this, the government allocates budget to the agricultural sector, provides agricultural loans, fertilizer and seed subsidies. And these steps help stabilize the country's financial policy and market system.
✅4.How important do you think the environment and soil selection are in vegetable production. |
---|
The role of environment and soil in vegetable production Extremely fertile loamy soil is most suitable for vegetables. And this soil retains water and drains quickly when needed and if the soil is too hard, the roots of the plant cannot go deep. And if it is too wet, the plant rots, that is why farmers use organic fertilizers in the soil to increase the fertility of the soil. And the environment is equally important. Temperature, humidity, sunlight and rainfall act as influencers for the growth and yield of vegetables. And for example, bamboo shoots grow only in the humid environment of the monsoon, while many vegetables do well in cool weather. And if the environment is not right, the crop becomes diseased and the yield decreases. Therefore, cultivation without checking the suitability of the environment and soil has the potential to cause harm.
Vegetables not only enhance the taste of our food but also provide nutrition for our body. Vegetables also contribute immensely to the country's economy. And by selecting the right season, using good environment and fertile soil, farmers can produce healthy and abundant vegetables. And as their income increases, the country's financial policy and food security become stronger. And vegetable production is not just the work of farmers but it is a national need. And through proper planning and environmentally friendly agriculture, we can make the country self-sufficient in vegetables and thus our economy and society will become more prosperous.
