Planting in my garden and orchard

in Nature & Agriculture18 days ago

The rains have begun in my country. Actually, to tell the truth, it's been two months since the torrential rains and thunderstorms started. So I've decided to try again to plant seeds in my garden and vegetable patch.

I have eggplant seedlings that I'll be transplanting soon. Many have sprouted, but I'm only going to remove the ones with more than five leaves, and I'll see if the others can withstand being removed from the germinator. If the other seedlings remain healthy, I'll transplant them again.

I also planted some pomegranate seeds, which have finally sprouted. They are still very small, but I can see that they are strong.

In the garden, right where I have my old recycled tires, two papaya plants sprouted. I'm hoping that this time they will produce female flowers. The plants I've had in recent months have all produced only male flowers. I don't know why. It's the same soil I prepare for all my seeds. I used to be able to harvest papaya, but for the last few years, I haven't been able to harvest any.

I have also planted many sunflower seeds, but only three plants have sprouted. I don't understand why only three. I put more than 50 seeds in my germinator.

Another seed I have planted is an apple. Six seedlings have sprouted, and they are big and strong. They still have the seed attached. I know these plants take a long time to mature, flower, and bear fruit, but I want to see if the plant can withstand my climate and soil conditions.

In any case, once the plant has grown, I will research how to graft it so that I can speed up fruit production.

I planted some carrots. They are weak but continue to produce beautiful leaves. I'm hopeful that something good will sprout from here.

I've also planted some strawberry seeds. It's been over a week, and I don't see any sprouting. I hope they don't leave me hanging.

For now, this is the latest news from my garden. I hope to soon be telling you about my new additions to the garden.

Nice pictures! Monsoon rains soak the dry earth. Tiny plant seeds start to stir. Every little speck carries a world of growth. Soon, bright green shoots will poke up. They will bring forth blossoms and a rich harvest. Your garden will feel busy with this fresh life. It truly shows nature's wonder.

Thank you for your nice comment. Yes, each plant is a universe, each dependent on itself. It's all such an exciting process, seeing how the seed is born, how it transforms into a seedling, then when it becomes an adult, it flowers and bears fruit. It's wonderful!
