Giancarlo Stanton is a MVP candidate every year that he is on the field.  The problem throughout his career is his inability to remain healthy.

After suffering an injury field campaign in 2019, Stanton was looking forward to a big 2020.  This appears to be getting put on the back burner.

It is being reported that Stanton suffered a grade 1 calf strain, an injury that will likely put Opening Day in jeopardy.  He will miss the start of the season.
