Once Upon A Wholesome Day
Here are two of my most wholesome photographs taken.
The first one is of one bright and sunny afternoon where I was just taking a break from my drawing lessons. I was hopeful that the rain would let us enjoy the break it was giving us because it didn't give us breathing space for sometime. And that afternoon was just so beautiful. Even this picture isn't able to capture the glow of that afternoon. It felt magical and I felt the need to show my elder sister, who is also a fan of the sun's uniqueness.
The photo was taken from the kitchen balcony of my house. The beautiful greenery is a result of 11 years of extensive hardwork by my Mum (God bless her🥹). The leaves of the mango tree reflect the sunlight in many areas and the roof cuts off sunlight from the rest of the tree.
The second picture, is of an old shop close to my house I've been longing to got to because I thought it was beautiful. I kept postponing because I didn't like going out until I decided to take my siblings with me. My siblings also agreed with me. This shop had a way of making me think of lives that existed before mine, what experiences they had, how they dealt with their own fair share of problems and all that we still do today that they did.
I think of dreams they had, hopes and intense emotions they felt. How life became too fast or either went too slow. It reminds me that there's nothing new under the sun. Everything that has happened before would happen again. In fact, it inspired me to write this poem, which I wrote when I first joined Steemit.
