After achieving fame from her self titled debut album, followed by her sophomore album, and the live EP "MTV Unplugged", Mariah Carey released her album. "Music Box" which made her a bigger star not only in the US but also globally. The lead single off the album has been the pop, R&B, and dancey track "Dreamlover". It became Maria Carey's seventh number 1 hit in the US Billboard Hot 100, while it peaked at number 9 on UK Singles chart. It became a number 15 hit on European Hot 100 Singles.
